An illustration for the Brother's Grimm fairytale, Cat-Skin - read it, if you dare!
I had to keep this under wraps for a bit because it was for a contest with anonymous entries. But that's all done now, so here it is edit: Thanks so much for all the comments! I really appreciate it! It's a disturbing little story, isn't it? I had the same problem when I first read it: I thought she'd married her pervert dad! Then I realized she'd married some other king and everything was okay Also, I'm in no way condoning or supporting the fur industry - it's just part of the story. I made a little step-by-step. Not really a tutorial, because there's not much to learn from it. But you can see it here: [link] Daily DeviationGiven 2007-11-28Cat-Skin by ~bluefooted is an outstanding illustration. Beautiful use of textures and colors really make for an interesting blend of materials, the artwork almost has a traditional feel to it! A very unique style by a very talented artist!
